My December Yogi Wishlist

December yogi wishlist

Happy Holidays Friends!

Are you looking for gift ideas or stocking stuffers for the yogis in your life? Or maybe a little something to treat yourself? Take a look at my December Yogi Wishlist and see if anything strikes your fancy!

*A Bolster Pillow*

I would love to add a bolster pillow to my yoga tools collection. They are great for restorative yoga and I would especially enjoy using it during a relaxing bedtime yoga session at home

*Cute Headbands*

It’s so annoying when strands of hair in your face interrupt your yoga flow! I love these headbands by Gaiam. They’d make a perfect stocking stuffer for a yogi, runner, or anyone who loves to workout.

*A Bedtime Story*

My boys recently did their first bedtime “yoga stretch” as my toddler called it. I believe yoga is a great way to get kids to relax and unwind at the end of the day (and maybe sleep better too!). To learn more, I’d love to get my hands on this book – Good Night Yoga: A Pose-by-pose Bedtime Story.

*A Yoga Mat Band*

Looking for an alternative to carrying your yoga mat in a bag? These Gaiam yoga mat bands are so neat and the perfect solution! This would also be a great little stocking stuffer.

*An Inspiring Book*

December and the upcoming new year always put me in a reflective mood. I think about my life so far, and where I would like to go (and grow) in the upcoming year. This book fits in with that frame of mind. With recipes, music playlists and art, it is a guide to “cultivating your best self.” Sounds good to me!

  5. I have not tried yoga as of yet, but I would like to. I need to start very lightly and build up a bit from there if I can, but I’m sure that a bit will be better than none. My disease affects me worse the more I physically do, so I need to take it easy. This last year my word for the year was “breathe” I think that it helped to clear a lot of my anxiety and stress which also affects my disease, bringing on physical pain. I’m definitely going to look more into yoga this year, I hope that it will be my best year since getting sick!!! Thanks for the ideas for spoiling myself into starting! LOL

    • Nikki you should look for yoga videos that have gentle or restorative in the title. You could also try chair yoga! I think the deep breathing is the best part of yoga and really helps with my stress and anxiety. Hope 2016 is amazing for you!
