Gift Ideas For The Mom Who Has Everything!

Facebooktwittergoogle_pluspinterest

I’m a March baby – I love my birthday and March is my favorite time of year! Spring is just around the corner and everything feels so hopeful! But there is one thing I don’t like very much and it comes in the form of a dreaded question …

“What do you want for your birthday?”

Ugh! I hate the question, and I can never answer it! I really feel like I don’t need anything. And that drives my husband CRAZY! It’s getting harder each year, especially as I try to be more frugal, and since I can easily come up with twenty things my boys need before I can think of even one thing for myself.

This year, in anticipation of that dreadful question I came up with this short list of gift ideas for the mom who has everything! All the options are around $30 or less. Perfect if you’re on a budget like me.

And bonus! – all of these things are from mom-run businesses! Who doesn’t want to support another mom? We’re in this together ladies! πŸ™‚

Wall Art

Since I’m a mom of boys, we like to joke about turning our basement into a “babe cave” instead of a man cave. A feminine place where I can escape from the farts, burps, cars, trains, video games, and action movies that fill my household. A space to craft, read, blog and do yoga. Well my babe cave will need some decor!

I am so in love with this pretty Hustle sign from Ginger at Lyrically Talented Co.

Ginger specializes in artwork with fun hip hop lyrics and quotes. I love her unique style and every piece she creates makes me smile.

Everything that Ginger at Lyrically Talented does can be customized. Want a different size? Different colors? A different quote? Want her to make an idea in your head come to life? Ginger is your girl!

You can find Lyrically Talented Co on Facebook, Instragram and of course Etsy!

A Cute Tee

I am a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl! I have been forever, and as much as I love yoga pants, becoming a mom didn’t change that! Most of my shirts these days are boring – just plain colors. I am constantly seeing cute graphic tees on social media and it’s time I put one in my closet!

I love this Mama word cloud t-shirt from The Blue Envelope! Perfect for casual days chasing after my boys.

The Blue Envelope is not just for mama’s, they have t-shirts for the whole family! There are so many cute options in their shop, especially for the little ones. At the very least you should follow them on Facebook and Instagram because they love sharing cute pictures of customers wearing their products!

A Teething Necklace

My youngest just turned one but only has four teeth so we still have a long teething road ahead of us! I never used a teething necklace with my first, but I have long admired them and favorited quite a few pretty ones on Etsy!

Check out this beauty by Nikki at the NommiesbyMommy shop. The colors are so perfect for spring.

She also has bracelet and necklace sets which I love, because baby R is always interested in the watch or hair ties on my wrist. And Nikki makes “mommy and me” sets too – if you have a little girl to coordinate with! Custom options are available too.

There you go! My gift list for the mom who doesn’t know what she wants!

  1. I know how it can be when they ask that dreaded questions “what do you want for your birthday”…or Mother’s Day or Christmas. My mother used to say “peace on earth”. Now I know why she said that. My girls are grown and have their own families and don’t live in y city. I tell them, “just time together.”

  18. I am so with you here, I find it very difficult to hone in on a gift for myself. I tend to go with the Practical items because then I can purchase the things that are wants and not needs. For Mother’s Day I tend to go with gardening items so that we can all benefit from the proceeds. For Christmas it’s usually towels or a kitchen appliance that I’d like to have, such as a food hydrator or a waffle iron. I am also a graphic tee girl, I love to wear them under sweatshirts or even casual jackets with jeans. Why is it so hard to choose something for ourselves?

    • Nikki this is so funny – we actually have a tradition of going to a Garden Fair on Mother’s Day (my mom loves gardening!), and I always ask for kitchen items at Christmas time! Great minds think alike?! πŸ™‚
